We are pleased to announce that Christian Care Center of Memphis currently has no Covid-19 positive patients or staff in our facility. Thank you for your prayers and support through these difficult and unprecedented times. We want to thank our Lord and Savior for revealing himself and providing his protection, strength, and guidance during this terrible pandemic that has swept our planet, nation, and local Memphis/Shelby County community.
Our temporary Covid-19 isolation hall is now empty. We celebrate with gratitude that we had 18 residents and 12 staff members fully recover from this virus. Our staff of caregivers, housekeeping, and other departments have done an excellent job protecting and providing service to our patients. Our patients are amazing also! As we continue to go above and beyond the infection control requirements, such as having the electronic shoe sanitizers at our entrance, using ultraviolet sanitizing devices and air filtration in our heating and air units which kill viruses and bacteria, we have contracted SERVPRO a nationally recognized company to additionally deep clean the isolation unit. This sanitizing service is not required as the virus cannot live on surfaces for very long in most cases. This optional service helps us accelerate converting the isolation unit back into occupancy in order to provide service and meet room needs of our new admission patients desiring to use our facility. The unit will be immediately ready to be placed back into regular occupancy service. We wanted you to be aware of why the SERVPRO folks are here.
We will continue our vigilance. We covet your continued prayers and sincerely appreciate your support.
May God Bless and Protect You and Yours,
Jason Murphy, Administrator
Caring and commitment come from the heart and result in our residents being treated with the dignity, courtesy and compassion that everyone deserves. Every day we strive to remember that no job is "small" or "unimportant". Attending to details and realizing that a person's need for compassion and dignity does not lessen with age or infirmity is key to the level of compassionate care that we provide. Our residents become our friends and we try to ensure that each one lives to the fullest of his or her abilities.
